Nicholas Levis
Mr. Levis possesses extensive experience in commercial production, film distribution, advertising and independent film production. He has worked on more than three hundred commercials over the past seven years, and this year alone has produced commercials for such major clients as Trident (aired during the 2003 Super Bowl), Coca-Cola, Visa, Celebrex, Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, and Listerine, among many others.
As a freelance commercial producer, Mr. Levis has had the opportunity to work with various companies including EUE Screen Gems, Ridley Scott and Associates, H.S.I., and Crossroads. In the industry, he's become known as "Mr. Underbudget" for his ability to bring in completed commercials below negotiated costs. He has produced commercials worldwide -- in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Greece, and Mexico -- and worked closely with production companies from South America, Brazil, Argentina, Australia and Italy. During the past two years, he served as a freelance producer for EUE Screen Gems.
Mr. Levis has also worked on music videos for such artists as Mariah Carey, The Rolling Stones, DMX, and many others. His freelance career has provided him with vast experience in budgeting for commercials, music videos, and other media productions both at home and internationally.
Prior to becoming a commercial producer, Mr. Levis worked as a film coordinator at several companies, including Trimark Pictures where he coordinated such movies as Leprechaun 3 and Chairman of the Board and learned the world of film distribution firsthand. He has also produced several independent films with up-and-coming directors who sought out Mr. Levis for his expertise and access to experienced crew members and vendors. His advertising experience includes consulting to J. Walter Thompson, Saatchi and Saatchi, Ogilvey and Mather, Wunderman, and other major firms.
Mr. Levis studied psychology for two years at Dowling College in New York where he discovered his talent as an actor. He graduated with a BFA in Performing Arts from Emerson College in Boston where he studied Shakespearean acting with Kristin Linklater. As comfortable in front of the camera as he is behind the lens, Mr. Levis began his career with stage and film roles, as well as stand-up stints at various comedy clubs around the country.
