Pic investigates lives of Baltimore-based role players

Gotham-based banner Ovie Entertainment has unveiled a slate that includes the docu "Darkon" about a cult of "live action role-playing fantasy gamers" who battle each other in a modern day city.
In post-production, "Darkon's" title refers to the fictitious medieval world that exists in Baltimore in the minds of a group of avid role players who wage intricate fantasy battles there.
Ovie is co-producing "Darkon" with SeeThink Prods., and is angling to create a vidgame based on the film.
Also on Ovie's development list is an adaptation of novelist Peter Cameron's "Andorra," which follows a man trying to escape a problematic past.
The scribe penned the screenplay. The Cactus Three banner is co-exec producing.
