Hotel Jokanaan

(Feature Film - In Development)

Synopsis

In ancient folklore the doppelganger is said to be a harbinger for bad luck. Some mythologies go so far as to say that when a person sees his doppelganger, he will die shortly after.
The restless calm of Didier's life as a Parisian cafe waiter is disturbed when he is assigned to serve Misha, a mysterious young Georgian man who has taken up an informal residence at the back table of the cafe. But what is most odd about Misha is not that he spends his days in a cafe full of strangers. Rather, it is the fact that he is all but identical to Didier.
Inexplicably drawn to Misha, Didier follows him into a Paris he has never seen before, populated by Georgian gangsters, Gypsy circus-performers, prostitutes and predators. But once he has lost himself in the darkness of this surreal Parisian underbelly, Didier soon discovers that he may not be ready to see the things that lurk there.
