Mr. Bonehead

(Feature Film - In Development)

Synopsis

In this endearingly offbeat comedy, an international collaboration with Zengo Productions of Tokyo and New York, Ed Nelson leaves behind a dead end job, lackluster lovelife, two overachieving parents and all fifty United States to bum around Japan. Unexpectedly, this lazy and lovable American abroad finds himself in demand as a language coach because, as newfound girlfriend Kyoko explains, "Everyone here is dying to learn English." Soon this gaijin ("foreigner") lands a spot on a hit television show as a comic language expert whose idiomatic English, "Pitch him a fastball, you bonehead!" drives audiences crazy and turns him into an overnight sensation. But when superstar Ed starts getting involved with ruthless underworld gamblers, he risks losing everything -- job, money, fame...and Kyoko. How do you say, "I've been such a fool, baby, I love you" in Japanese?
